Dr. Collins is an experienced speaker, with experience in both academic and non-academic environments. His diverse experiences in the worlds of collegiate sports, T1D and diversity advocacy in addition to his training as a mental health provider enable him to give compelling and powerful insights.

A former Yale Varsity Football Letterman and All-Ivy award winner, Dr. Collins now combines both his experience as a collegiate athlete and as a mental health professional in the arena of Sports Psychiatry. As a resident physician at Stanford, he is training at the renowned Sports Psychiatry and Sports Psychology Program, which provides evaluation and treatment for professional, Olympic, and NCAA athletes from around the San Francisco Bay area.

Dr Collins was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes at the age of 13, which became on of the main motivators for studying the field of medicine. As a Diabetes Advocate, he is involved with helping others with T1D manage their glycemic control through exercise. Today, he continues to explore the intersection of chronic illness and mental health.

Black Lives Matter, now and forever more. Dr Collins works tirelessly on diversity and social justice initiatives in order to recruit more future physicians of underrepresented backgrounds into medicine while simultaneously attempting to better his community around him for people of color. He currently serves as the Chair of the GME Diversity Committee at Stanford Healthcare.
